Design in Italy in critical times

Centrino
Francesco Faccin

An interlocking puzzle that designs a small table ready to be assembled without screws nor glue.  Its an essential product in which aesthetics are functional to the static and vice versa. The visible joints draw a circular countertop in which what is indispensable becomes decorative and vice versa. For its realization the use of CNC machinery is compulsory as the perfection of the cut determines the perfection of the joint and of the static equilibrium.

icon-archi Francesco Faccin was born in Milan in 1977. He attended IED Istituto Europeo di Design and worked in Enzo Mari’s studio. He began his career working as a freelance designer for Italian and foreign companies. Since 2004 he designs objects that can be self-produced in small series, trying to discover the old craftmen secrets.
